An underdog or a wallflower? Neither! Taupe has long been a favourite of fashion designers, as the subtle colour exudes a sense of noble restraint and complements many outfits with confident elegance. The name derives from the sophisticated nuance of the mole, which is called “taupe” in French. The unobtrusive colour also has its own special appeal on the wrist, which, for the Augsburg Taupe and Aachen Taupe watches, is further enhanced by the filigree sunburst finish.
The radiant white numerals, indices and hands stand out in the best contrast. The use of glowing Superluminova C1 Blue Line coating, with an expressive luminescent bluish hue, ensures perfect readability at night and in poor light conditions. The dial design of the Augsburg Taupe mirrors the historical “Baumuster A” (= dial type A) of the observation watches from the 1940s.
This special Laco timepiece is being produced in a limited series of 200 pieces only. Each individual limited number is engraved on the caseback of the watch.
From passion to legend: Pilot watches from Laco.
There are pilot watches. And then there are pilot watches from Laco. As one of a few exclusive companies the workshop in Pforzheim can look back on a long tradition. Whereas in the 1940s a Laco was an indispensable tool in the cockpit, today it is an expression of freedom. With a Laco pilot watch you are not only wearing a precise and robust watch on your wrist, but also a piece of history.
