A PORTABLE COMPASS & CHRONOGRAPH

Durability was clearly a sticking point for Shield when creating the Tesei: a diver’s chronograph with a robust build and legible look. Judging by its 49-millimeter stainless steel case and sapphire-coated crystal, the Tesei is a great choice for underwater activities—not to mention its approved for professional diving, courtesy of a 200-meter water-resistance rating. In addition to a 24-hour chronograph, the watch has a compass bezel. In the northern hemisphere, position the “S” marker between the sun and the 12 o’clock marker and it will give you a loosely accurate read on your current direction (use the “N” marker in the southern hemisphere). Of course, when you’re not in the elements, the watch makes a fine companion as well.
